Tevez deal close?

Reports on the radio station Talksport suggest that Carlos Tevez will become a Manchester City player, with the deal expected to be completed sometime next week.

Now we have been hearing rumours for a long time and Talksport in particular is not a radio station that I would take as gospel, however I contacted someone I know who works at City, I was told that it is true and Carlos Tevez should be a City player by next week if all goes well!

I think if the transfer does go through as planned then a lot of City fans will be happy, I certainly think it will be a good signing. I do hope that Tevez was a target all along though and not just one because he became available, but with me having faith in Hughes's buys I would suggest that he was a target all along.

Are City fans happy about the possible arrival of Carlos Tevez?

  2. Very happy he`s got a great work etic on the field.something that`ll match irelands work rate which i believe is priceless plus we`ll be taking him away from the swamp and united wont see a penny of the money

  3. Yeah...its brilliant news and make no mistake this guy is not crossing town as he was never a swamp player. He has never in three years been a player of any club. He has been a loan player, owned by Joorabchian. Manchester City will be the first club in the prem to show the commitment to buy him as such we will see the best of him. He was only loaned to the swamp never actually a swamp player.

  4. We would not have bought Barry if there were no other signings in the bag.

  5. what a buy he would be, worth £25-30 million pounds of anyones money, in fact a bargain if you take into consideration berbatov cost the reds £30 something million

  6. Very true, well Barry wouldn't have come without proof of other signings on the way. Tevez was an uncertain one though, lets wait and see!

  7. Herman Munster Head...Bring him over here, good signing IF we get him,IF!

Just another 5 or 6 after him and we may be able to get into the top 6!

  8. I wouldn't say he was a bargain at that price not on what I have seen of him.

To be fair he works hard but no harder than Vassell!

I think he may progress to being worth that kind of money though.

  9. Oh yes, I'm extremely happy not just because its one in the eye for bacon chops trying to barter the price down and making a last ditch offer to save his blushes. But also the sheer class of the player whom the rag followers clearly dont want to lose, especially as they have that lazy waste of space in Berbatov polishing the bench. One thing I have noticed is a quite a few murmers coming from the top four direction in how we are beginning to monopolise the transfer market with our straight cash offers (not interim payments Mr Wenger) And the recent Kaka fiasco with Chelsea just shows that even Chumps league football and joining a host of stars couldn't tempt the best, and at least we managed to string it along for longer than the strutters.
So bring it on and heres to list getting longer......

But if its all confirmed and announced this or next week, ill be bouncing off the walls.

ITs the signing we need to bring other top quality players to city.

  11. I agree I am not getting excited but I have had some kind of confirmation from someone at the club I wouldn't have wrote it otherwise! So fingers crossed.

You don't have to believe me if you don't want but I was in the key cutting shop the guy seen my City keyring and said that we are on verge of signing Tevez so I phoned who I know and that was what I was told.

Like I said don't believe me if you do not want. If you are trying to say I always re print stories to I don't all my posts are original, if you have such a problem do not read here go and start your own blog!

Well Gary I read your blog all the time and I really enjoy reading it. These guys are just idiots ignore them and keep up the good work. As for Tevez I think he would be a good signing but he is a little bit expensive for my liking.

I am in no doubt that Tevez joining us is on the cards. I think most people can see this. What i get annoyed with is people like you that will then claim to be 'in the know' after 'predicting' a highly predictable transfer.

  18. Well if the guy in the key cutting shop said it was then the contract is signed clearly.

  19. You know nobody at City just admit it please!!! You probably haven't even got a season ticket....

  20. HAHAH if you read on thats what made me look into it, he had been listening to his radio!

And it isn't a claim thats what I have been told so get over yourself. Why make such a big deal you obviously have trust issues!

Yes I do have a season ticket, I have had it for many many years.

  30. Hi Gary,
When I saw your blog I couldn't resist following as I've been a blue since 1977 (yeah, I know - I'm the jinx!).
The spoilt reds are squirming about losing Tevez to us so I do hope you're right, mate.
Looks like one or two have already crept on here, too, hiding behind anonymity. If they get on your tits too much they can be blocked.
Great blog - nice to see and keep it going.

  31. It seems Tevez is nailed on if reports are to be believed. Hope so. As for the negative posts on here, ignore them. Just rags clutching at straws thanks to their empire crumbling around them. Tevez and Barry, a long way from a last-ditch attempt to sign Mido from Spuds...

An unprecidented and "massive" statement if we sign Tevez. He will be a superb addition and all I can say to posters complaining about the suggested fee is that we have the dosh and it will be dosh well spent. Upsetting the rags though " priceless " ! Happy Days.
