Felipe Melo claims City interest

Brazilian International Felipe Melo de Carvalho claims that City are one of the clubs currently keeping an eye on him.

The 25 year old Fiorentina midfielder could be considered a bit of a journey man having had seven senior clubs in seven years, but after an €8 million transfer to Fiorentina in the summer and a first call up to the Brazil squad in January, the player clearly has talent.

On City's interest he said.................

''I know that Juventus, Arsenal and Manchester City have expressed positive comments about me. I can’t be anything but pleased, but they will deal with my agent. I only think about playing.''

As well as being a City fanatic I am a football fanatic, so I have seen this guy play at least ten times. When I have seen him play he hasn't blown me away, he is a good player but certainly has never looked like a great player. He is obviously getting better as he progresses through his career and has been rewarded with a Brazil call up this year. So if Hughes sees fit to buy this guy I would trust that it would be the right decision, especially considering nearly all of Hughes's buys have been good.
