It has been confirmed that Shay Given has signed for the blues, the Republic of Ireland International number one has signed a four and a half year contract for an undisclosed fee.This is a fantastic signing as Joe Hart is not quite good enough and needs to go back a step he jumped and learn his trade properly.
If there was a keeper in the premier league you would want it is Shay Given he is the complete package.
I'm extremely happy with this signing as Hughes shows us yet again he wants established Premier League players to start off what is hopefully a successful building process.
