City face a tough game in Europe tomorrow night when current Danish Champions Aalborg BK come to Eastlands.
After a great display against Villa, I feel that if City reach the same levels of performance we should be able to overcome Aalborg. Don't get me wrong Aalborg are a very good team and on top of hammering Deportivo in the last round, they have managed to hold Man Utd at Old Trafford this season. I still feel we have enough quality to beat them despite those results, especially on our home turf.
I am really looking forward to the game tomorrow - as always, but I am slightly more excited because there is a real possibility of getting to the later stages of the Uefa Cup. I genuinely believe we can end Aalborg's 16 game unbeaten run.
City team news:
Robinho has been declared fit and is almost certain to return to the starting line up, Micah Richards is also expected to return from injury. Kompany's toe injury may have caught up with him and a decision to see if he is fit enough to play will be made closer to kick off. Bellamy is still out with injury and as we all probably know by now De Jong is ineligible, what a lot probably didn't know is that Valeri Bojinov is also ineligible.
Aalborg BK team news:
Aalborg have nearly a full squad to pick from, only two players are due to miss out. Dutch defender come midfielder Steve Olfers is out with an injury, as is Danish midfielder Emil Hauck.
Possible Man City line up: Given, Richards, Onuoha, Dunne, Bridge, Zabaleta, Kompany, Wright-Phillips, Ireland, Robinho, Caicedo.
Possible Aalborg BK line up: Zaza, Bøgelund, Wæhler, Beauchamp, Jakobsen, Enevoldsen, Augustinussen, Caca, Johansson, Due, Shelton.
My Prediction: Man City 3 - 0 Aalborg BK
Worth a bet: Stephen Ireland goal in a 3 - 0 win.
