Apart from season card holders who still have until Sunday to buy their tickets, the Hamburg game at Eastlands is sold out.
I have just got back from buying my Hamburg tickets and I have to say it is the first time in a long time I have had to queue up to purchase cup tickets.
On arrival at the box office today there was a steward telling people that unless they were a season card holder the game is sold out, basically as it is very very likely that every season card holder will buy their seat, the game is a sell out.
I am not sure why they have put tickets on sale in this manner with no structure to who gets tickets and when, but I am guessing there will be some disappointed people.
City have opened the door for people to jump on the bandwagon and get a cheap European Cup quarter final ticket, I really hope that nobody who has been going to the Uefa Cup games regularly misses out on a ticket.

I think the club have been caught out a little bit here. Why they didn't have an initial period solely for season ticket holders only does seem strange.
ReplyDeleteAs you say, I'm sure there will be a number of disappointed people.
Fuck me! There's no pleasing some people, i got mine ok on the internet, just took about 7 tries.
ReplyDeletei was on it since 3am and i fucking missed it, pissed i am but ill go to the fulham game instead..hahah
ReplyDeleteI guess that its a learning curb , we have a wonderfull product and the owners want a sell out against Hamburg.
ReplyDeleteWe are not driven by profit and pitch a price that sells out the stadium in hours.
The formula works and the owners are happy so just get ready to shout the team home into the semi's.
Bastards, ive been at school and couldnt get a ticket, this is a piss take, ive been to every other cup game this season.
ReplyDeleteThat is terrible, I am very sorry to hear that, it was poor planning by City. Maybe writing to the club to alert them of their errors will make sure it does not happen again.
ReplyDeleteIf comment leavers would not swear I would appreciate that, I don't want readers of my blog to be offended, thanks.
