Can it not be like that every week?

The team and the crowd were absolutely exemplary against Hamburg, so why can't it be like that all the time?

I know the game against Hamburg was particularly important but surely we hold every game that City have in just as high regard, I know I do. The atmosphere was amazing against Hamburg, the City fans really showed the rest of the world why we are the best when it comes to supporting a football team. It was also very enjoyable, bananas, flags, scarfs it was great. So take into account that it was enjoyable and made us stand out as fans let alone help our team perform, why can't every home game be the same? We could turn Eastlands into a fortress every week, also to be the only team in England to have such an overwhelming atmosphere would be great and a lot of fun in the process.

The main and most important thing that the atmosphere helped to do was make our team play to their maximum, we gave our best and they returned the favour. Taking all those points into account are we as City fans willing to commit ourselves to the team like that every week?, I know I'm in.

Do new offices mean bigger stadium?

After it was confirmed today that City have started building a new £6 million office suite at Eastlands to house staff that currently work inside the stadium, to me it looks like they are doing this to make room so that the stadium can be expanded.

Maybe I'm reading into it to much but some things that Garry Cook and Jon Stemp had to say made me think that this is possibly the start of us being able to boost our stadiums capacity.

Garry Cook said.......

''Our review into our facilities and our planning for the future of the stadium, led us to taking this step and Sheikh Mansour has fully backed us in this decision.''

''By relocating our staff into fit for purpose offices, not only do we give ourselves the opportunity to enhance the supporter experience inside the stadium but we can also give our staff at the ground a working environment they can be proud of."

Jon Stemp, the chief officer of infrastructure development said........

''City is about more than football, it's about the fans and our community, and we want our stadium to reflect that.''

''Expectations have moved on since the stadium opened in 2003. The ultimate aim is to provide the world's best supporter experience inside the ground. We need to decide what the supporters need and then make it happen.''

''The first step in that process was to release the space we will need to improve the City of Manchester Stadium for the community in partnership with Manchester City Council.''

Well it is clear that they are moving the staff that currently work inside the stadium to free up space, they don't actually say what they are making room for. I think to carry out all this work must mean that they want the space free to boost the stadiums capacity, surely that is the only sensible reason. If they are freeing the space up for something else that will improve the stadium, what could that something else be?

Lets bring back the atmosphere!!!

I was so happy with the positive reaction to my previous article about the atmosphere, I had to follow it up.

From the comments that were left after the previous article it is obvious there is a lot of frustrated City fans, to get rid of our frustration things have to change at Eastlands.

Jim made a very good point when he said ''the City home fans do not stimulate the team, they wait for the team to stimulate them''. This statement is true of the City crowd, but even when we have been stimulated by the team in recent times the crowd haven't really responded.

Jon boy thinks some new songs will breath new life into the City faithful, '' I agree we need an anthem, with a few more words than blue moon. lets sort it out at villa.''

So there is many different views but they all come back to the same thing and that is wanting to improve the atmosphere at Eastlands. So moving on from reasons why the atmosphere is bad, lets find some solutions that will make it good again.

As fans that do want a better atmosphere we have to be the catalyst behind any changes, so if anyone has any suggestions like a new song they have thought of, or as Jim suggested ''having samba percussion outside the stadium'' lets hear them.

Basically give me some input and I will run with it. If you guys suggest a good song that others like, I will publish it so other people see it. JJ has a good idea but says... ''but this had to be agreed with the club itself.'', I have no problem with contacting our club with any positive ideas that people agree on, to get some feedback off them.

Right so we need some good new songs or ideas for match day. I noticed a couple of you weren't happy with the Robinho song, I found a song on YouTube with a few positive comments about it, so I thought I would try and get the ball rolling.

Where is the atmosphere at Eastlands?

This article may be controversial, but I have to get this off my chest and I also know there is other City fans who have the same feelings as me.

With an important and tough home game against Villa coming up, I think City fans need to make a better effort to get behind the team and help boost their performance.

Now that doesn't apply to everyone there is City fans like myself who do all they can to give the team a boost, unfortunately though we are the minority.

I am not having ago at all these people who don't help to create any atmosphere, everyone who pays their money is entitled to do what they want when they go to a match. I would just like some feedback on the reasons why thousands of fans won't even join in on the more simple things, like clapping and cheering each players name when called out before a game or joining in on a song now and again.

Anyone who has played football at any level will know that if you have people willing you on, you always seem to be able to find that extra surge inside yourself.

I'm glad I have got that off my chest, so if you are a fan who doesn't get involved have your say and give your reasons why, if there is any other City fans who think they can explain why people choose not to be involved on a match day, please don't hesitate to give your views as well.

Date for FA Youth Cup quarter final set

The Man City Youth team and current FA Youth Cup Champions will play Norwich in the quarter final of this years competition at Eastlands on Saturday 7th of march, the game will be a 2pm kick off.

Everyone get down to Eastlands, support the boys and help drive them to retaining the Trophy.

Man City v Middlesbrough - Saturday 7th Feb 12:45

Tomorrow Boro come to Eastlands in need of a win, they are currently 19th in the table. City in 10Th are also in desperate need of a win if we are to make any type of push for Europe.

Team news for Boro will see Didier Digard and Gary O'Neil back in contention at the very least although they are both likely to start, Afonso Alves is pushing for a start as are Tony McMahon and Justin Hoyte who will both be hoping to be chosen for the right back slot which would
see David Wheater move back into the centre of defence.

Citys team should only see one change made with Shay Given coming in for Joe Hart to make his debut.

Possible starting line ups:

Man City: Given, Richards, Kompany, Onuoha, Bridge, Wright-Phillips, De Jong, Zabaleta, Ireland, Bellamy, Robinho.

Boro: Jones, Hoyte, Huth, Riggott, Pogatetz, Johnson, O'Neil, Digard, Downing, King, Alves.

I expect to see Boro playing for a draw tomorrow, although they do have players who are competent goal scorers, and will try to nick a goal if they think they can push forward without leaving themselves exposed at the back.

As for City I hope to see us go out and try to win in style against a much weaker team, we need a good win to springboard from and at the same time we need to send out a message to the rest of the league that we are a team to be feared and will be fighting until the end to climb up the table.

But as we know we have shown signs of this before but have never built on a good result consistently, but I do have faith in the blues that it will happen and while it can still happen we always need a starting point so tomorrow is as good a time as any to get the ball rolling to winning a number of games on the bounce.

My prediction: City 2-0 Middlesbrough

Bets I will be placing at the match: City to win 2-0 with goals from Robinho and Bellamy and City to win 3-0 with Robinho, Bellamy and Ireland goals.

If you can't get to the match tomorrow it is being televised on Sky sports 1 and HD 1.

Stoke City vs Man City 12:45

Last time out against Stoke an absolute masterclass from Robinho at Eastlands where the Brazilian bagged a hat trick ensured Man City comfortably won 3-0.

We go to Stoke with an unchanged team from the one that beat Newcastle 2-1 in midweek, Stoke have made two changes with Danny Pugh and Ricardo Fuller coming in to their starting line up.

I predict a 2-0 win for the blues and lets hope so, come on you blues!!!!!!
