The new site has launched today and I was wondering what everyone thinks of it?I have to say my relationship with the new site got off to a bad start because it didn't launch on time this morning, I was sat on my PC clicking refresh every ten seconds. I really wanted to order our new kit and get those Doves tickets.
Apart from that I think it is as good as I thought, it has everything we would want. I think my favourite feature of the new site is that the video content is now all free, it will save people money and especially people like me who already shell out on season tickets and all the merchandise.
What do you think about the new site?

ReplyDeleteThe site was hyped up a lot before it came out. It was supposed to be completely unique, unlike any thing you've ever seen before. Taking that into account I was a bit disappointed when I first saw it because in my opinion its just like most other websites but I must say that i am very happy with the new site. I always thought that the old one was quite good compared to those of some other teams and the new one is a big improvement. I paid for MCFCTV last year so I was delighted to find out that it would be free this year and it also works much better than the old one. The rest of the site is great too.

ReplyDeleteThe new website is great but in fact for me its more interesting and a lot more importand what kind of players we got in , and still i wondering why ther not happadning nothing with Tevez , now he have a lot of time and as i have understand he also have talking with city long time ago so why he is not ready? hehe well ok am just one of them ther want have things to happand quikely ;-)

I don't take it negative a lot of people have mentioned the colour being hard to read and I understand I am trying to find a good alternative.
ReplyDeleteAs for Tevez and Eto'o, I did a post yesterday that said Eto'o wanted a payout and that has come out as being the case today. Tevez should sign!
I'm a web designer and I think it's a great example of what I frequently have to tell clients: your website can look as fantastic as a fantastic thing, but if it's unusable you're going to lose visitors quickly.
ReplyDeleteI tried to order a shirt, which was a drawn out process to start with, but then the security certificate is invalid (amateur mistake) and despite trying to pay with a Mastercard it forwarded me to a Verified By Visa site. Actually it didn't even do that, it provided a "Go to your payment gateway" link, which is appalling usability for two reasons - one, there's no reason a user should have to make an extra click at that point; two, it uses jargon. To cap it all, I've still no idea whether I ordered a shirt, ordered it twice or if no record of my buying attempt was made. Email to City sent already.
Great new website though i can do a much better job and im only an budding web designer.
ReplyDeleteNeeds some tweaks like a matchday score centre modeled along a similar type to Skysports live centre.
Also the Shop site needs a measurements table so people actually buy the correct sizes instead of guessing as differen sports brands have different size structures.
Only other issue's i see is the titles shown on opaque black backgrounds masking the article picture.
Also the selection tabs across the topp of the site needs to be run into the foreground linking itself to the side selection list.

we may not be the best team in the league, but we are certainly going to look the best :)especially the kits aswell. I am very impressed I really can't wait for next season! And yes, Michael Johnson's picture is rather humurous.. Very good player mind.

yeah sure we must have shirt , and this year i will try have the shirt i want in my sise , last year i ordering that great white shirt with the embleme on lightblue shulder but i be a bit dissapoitnig when the post order come to me from england cos the shirt was even in sise for my son hehe well i was dissapoined in 2 second but from ther i just have to laugh all the way , hehe the shirt was so so small hehe but anyway i have the shirt!!
No loyalty points total and also no link to go to membership types i.e. City Card and Live 4 City etc.

Brilliant site, slick design, modern interface, loads of videos, loads of stats, loads of interviews and live stats when the games are on with commentary... Apart from letting you live inside the City of Manchester Stadium, what more could they have done....

ReplyDeleteWe have an international mcfc fans group where you can access tickets for trips over tO UK orginised through the club I think.
Suggest you ring the ticket office to start off and there may well be a fan's group in Norway as well that you can access tickets through.

One simple suggestion is to put a Sizing Chart on there - I've guessed my boys size around the 146, 152 - whatever those mens whats wrong with SB, MB, LB ??? (I know this is an Umbro thing we should make it easy to buy merchandise correctly)
